Programmes leading to a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in accounting, began in 1952 through the initiative of Rev. Fr. Paul Zwaenepoel: the first course ever offered by the College of Commerce.
The school has grown from that single programme into the university's accountancy, business and management school, whose graduates sit the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountants.
