The course is a continuation of Social Work Research 1 and is designed at assisting students in completing an empirical research in social work. The purpose of the course is to give students with knowledge and skills in data gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data. It provides them with direction on how to merge existing literature with their current findings and create a cohesive analogy of their findings. Students are expected to have an understanding of how to design, analyze, and effectively communicate good research in social work. At the end of the course, students are expected to defend their research manuscript to a panel of evaluators.
