The Teaching Profession

The course is centered on teaching as a profession and the teacher as a professonal seen from the philosophical, legal , historical perspectives. It focuses on the qualities and attributes of a teacher who possesses competencies based on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) as defined in his/her roles, duties and accountability; includes the rights of teachers, rewards and benefits, career path, hiring guidelines andorganizational structure of the Philippine Educational system. Further, it will include Professional Ethics , core values, awareness of professional rights, privileges , roles and responsibilites of the teacher aas a transformative agent of change.
