Earth Science explores the natural processes and phenomena that shape our planet. It deals with the fundamental of historical and physical geology. Interfacing of geologic cycles that cause weathering, erosion, soil formation, mineral formation, and mass movement are emphasized. The course also includes tracing of geologic history, plate tectonics, seafloor movement, orogenesis, volcanism, and seismology. Issues concerning the exploration, utilization, and conservation of mineral resources also dealt with.
