Mythology and Folklore

This course is a study of Greek and Roman mythology and their significance to literature and good taste. It is designed to equip and acquaint students to develop intelligent appreciation the common places of literary tradition, allusion and reference. It also encompasses short story principles and elements like plot, character, enveloping action, point of view, tone, symbols and allusions. Selected short stories are subject to close reading and analysis.
