This course acquaints the students with various doctrines, theories, principles and jurisprudence, both local and foreign, in addressing legal controversies involving foreign elements. It provides the students with a working knowledge on how to resolve issues on jurisdiction over multi-state or multi-national disputes, choice of law methods, as well as problems in jurisdiction and recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments.
