This course is designed to acquaint students with canonical and marginal literary texts from specific regions of Africa, Asia and particular parts of the Third World. More than the geographical contexts, this course also emphasizes the historical, cultural, and eco-political conditions in which the texts are embedded to heighten students' appreciation of literary productions.
