Introduction to Forensic Science

This course introduces the students the fundamentals of the different forensic sciences to give them basic ideas on what sciences are applicable in investigation and how they are applied. It also introduces the students to the principles and practices in Forensic Science Laboratories. Topics will also include crime scene procedures and practices, as well as the forensic examinations that will be conducted on simulated evidence. It will also give emphasis on the proper procedures in maintaining the chain of custody of evidence including court presentation.
