Course Description:
This course deals with the detailed study of the structure and function of the individual cell organelles and their relationship to the over-all function of the cell. It is focused on the organelle biogenesis and the molecular mechanisms of the secretory pathways. This course also deals with the biology of the gene as it is applied into modern technology such as DNA extraction and amplification, DNA fingerprinting, recombinant DNA technology, genetic engineering, molecular phylogeny, molecular taxonomy, etc.
