This course is designed for students with limited background and/or aptitude in the Natural Sciences. It focuses on the basic ideas of physics, the chemical nature of our physical environment, geological forces that build and shape the earth’s surface, and the origin and fate of the universe. It also familiarizes the student to the scientific method, scientists who contributed to the history of science and provides an understanding of the physical environment and its effects on today’s world.
