The national law Republic Act 1425 mandates tertiary students to study the life works, and writings of Dr. Jose Rizal primarily to develop nationalism among young Filipinos. This course covers topics which include Rizal’s biography and his writings, particularly the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, some of his poems, essays, and various correspondences.
