Regulatory Framework and Legal Issues in Business 1 (3045) 4:30-6:00 TTh

This course is intended to give students a broad knowledge of legal provisions concerning the regulatory framework governing business transactions and business organizations.

Part 1 will deal with the following:

  1. The law on sales, its nature, form and requisites, the rights and obligations of the vendor and vendee including the remedies in case of default;
  2. The law on credit transactions such as pledge, mortgage and antichresis;
  3. The general provisions of Consumer Act, Philippine Competition Act and Government Procurement Law; and
  4. The laws on intellectual properties, particularly patents, trademarks and copyrights.
