PRINCIPLES OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE PRACTICE 2 (CLINICAL LABORATORY ASSISTANCE AND PHLEBOTOMY) LECTURE

The course aims to introduce students with phlebotomy techniques by describing the various types of phlebotomy equipment and phlebotomy theory and procedures. Venipuncture complications, pre-examination variables, special collection techniques, and dermal puncture are covered. Additional Techniques that presents information on arterial blood collection, point-of-care testing, and the collection and processing of nonblood specimens, such as bone marrow and other body fluids.
