Financial Management of the government is an interdisciplinary field in Public Administration and Political Science. The course is primarily focused on the management of government expenditures and revenues more specifically the laws, organizations, systems, as well as procedures needed to implement fiscal policy. It is then imperative to introduce students of this course fundamental principles and systems in government budgeting and finance, tax administration, Expenditure Control, Auditing, and Debt Administration. Much emphasis is given to local fiscal management at the end of the semester.
