Philippine Literature 3594 (4:30-6:00 TTh)
Philippine Literature is a study of the literary forms and genres from precolonial times to the present. This course emphasizes the study and consideration of the literary, cultural, and human significance of selected canonical and peripheral texts written in English, Filipino or other Philippine languages. It aims to promote an understanding and appreciation of literary works in their historical and cultural contexts and the enduring human values which unite these different literary traditions.
