This course is intended to give the students a working knowledge of mathematical computations required in business practice and in Certified Public Accountants Examinations, emphasizing the applications. The course covers exercises and problems in simple interest, simple discount, compound interest, simple annuities, amortization, sinking fund methods of settlement of debts, various methods of depreciation, income and taxation, stock and bonds, and insurance.
