Jour 122 (New Reporting and Writing) is a major course offered to BA Journalism students. The course focuses on the fundamentals of news reporting and writing. It covers the elements of news, its values and characteristics, and the most practical way in gathering and writing them. The subject also deals with the ideals of news writing for print media. It also includes the responsibilities of journalists in writing an effective news story.
