Philippine Literature (3646) (3:00-4:30 TTh)

Literatures of the Philippines is a general education course offered to students enrolled in the School of Accountancy and Business and  the School of Teacher Education and Humanities. It   is a study of the literary forms or genres from pre-colonial times to the present. This course emphasizes the study and consideration of literary, cultural, and human significance of selected canonical and marginal texts written in English, Filipino or local dialects. It aims to promote an understanding and appreciation of literary works in their historical and cultural contexts and of the enduring human values which unite these different literary traditions.
