Heritage Tourism TMPE 3 - 10:30 AM- 11:30 AM MWF

This course exposes students to culture and heritage tourism as a product. The course introduces students to the field of marketing of cultural and heritage tourism. Students examine the ways in which such a heritage tourism product may be sustained and developed to contribute in the growth of the local and national economy. In detail, the fundamental information common among known heritage sites and ways on how are these are preserved for sustainability are likewise presented. Current issues faced by heritage sites and cases on how these are addressed are also relevant information necessary in better acknowledging the ultimate essence of certain attractions to be declared as heritage sites with ultimate contribution to the people and the communities’ development, in an equal manner.
