BSA 3B 3103 Financial Management 10:30MWF

This course covers the nature, purpose, scope and functions of financial management. This will include financial analysis (interpreting and analyzing financial statements for indications of business performance), cash flows analysis, operating and financial leverage. This will also cover financial forecasting, planning and control, working capital management, capital structure issues, sources of short-term and long-term financing. This course also focuses on the current thinking regarding valuation of the firm, investment decision processes, financing, and dividend policy, asset management and financial strategies and portfolio theory. Finally, the course includes discussion of sharing firm wealth: dividends, share repurchase and other payouts.
