Mechanics of Deformable Bodies
This course deals with stresses and deformations in basic structures due to axial loads, torsion loads, and bending loads. Its coverage is limited to basic structures and concepts shall be fundamentals needed for understanding higher analysis. It specifically covers the topics on simple stress; simple strain; torsion; shear; bending moment and stress relationships; defleftion; combined stress; composite materials; and, columns.
