This course is intended to aid the would-be Medical technologists of the competencies of geneticists. It deals with the concepts related to the study of heredity, variation and inheritance, genetic phenomena, sex determinations, defects in relation to human inheritance. Nucleic acids,( DNA and RNA) and their application to medical science are given emphasis.
This course includes activities and worksheets that cover basic genetics concepts, predict results of genetic crosses of specific case problems and possible solutions to existing genetic case problems.
