5144 Clinical Bacteriology  LAB

The course deals with microbiology along the broad lines f anatomy and cellular mechanisms, metabolism, genetics, taxonomy medicine and on environmental concerns. Emphasis is made on bacterial isolation, identification and susceptibility testing as an aid in laboratory diagnosis . Principles and different actions of antimicrobial agents will also be used discussed to understand antibiotic resistance of microorganisms. All mechanisms are explained in molecular and genetic approaches to stimulate and satisfy the students with a basis for deep understanding of the varied aspects of this discipline.
