Rizal, the national hero and martyr, as they relate to the socio-political situation of the Philippines during his time and its implication to our present time. It traces the hero’s life, ideals, concept of education, good government, and nationalism as embodied in his writings, particularly the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.
