Focus: This course focuses on the fundamentals of pharmaceutical calculations and techniques that includes system of measurements, expression of concentrations, calculation of doses, density, specific gravity and specific volume applied in the practice of pharmacy
Outcomes: At the end of the course, the students are expected to 1) demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills to perform basic mathematical operations and solve various problems 2) perform laboratory techniques pertinent to the practice of pharmacy with accuracy and precision; 3) work independently and diligently manifesting the values of analytical thinking, scientific discipline, honesty and patience.

The course highlights the fundamental knowledge and concepts of pharmaceutical inorganic chemistry on that official with USP/NF, their preparation, properties, tests, uses, and applications to diagnosis and therapy. The laboratory course includes the principles and concepts for qualitative analysis of ions & inorganic compounds and the preparation, uses, and confirmatory tests involved in the official USP/NF inorganic compounds.

OUTCOMES
The students will learn the national framework within the pharmacy practice, as well as acquire an understanding of the laws, regulations, and ethical responsibilities of pharmacists to protect and ensure the well-being of their patients.

This course is designed to augment the course Pharmacy Methods of Research (with) statistics with the end goal of fully developing the competencies needed by the students in the systematic conduct of research.
This course covers the writing of a scientific paper/ thesis; final oral defense to a chosen panel of experts; dissemination of the results to an appropriate venue, for example, a research congress /forum or during community extension activities.
