Inorganic Chemistry

This course provides a foundation on the theoretical principles and descriptive chemistry of the elements of the periodic table. It includes concepts such as atom and periodicity, bonding, structure and reactivity, and the theory, structure, reactions, kinetics as well as coordination chemistry. Some descriptive chemistry of the transition metals and organometallic chemistry are also discussed. Through readings and presentations on the current literature, a knowledge-based of current interests in organic chemistry is developed.
