This course is designed to engage the graduate student in critically applying a systematic and balanced approach to teaching mathematics using ICT appropriate to the needs of 21st-century learners. It emphasizes the greater role of mathematics teachers in using ICT tools in the teaching-learning process as encouraged and required by several teacher competency frameworks. It offers the graduate student a wide range of experiences on the nature of ICT in mathematics education and the use of ICT-based materials in preparing, implementing, and assessing mathematics lessons, together with communication tools to broaden learning and professional networks. Hence, the development of their technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge in mathematics education.
