This course is designed to provide graduate students with the principles underlying the skills in teaching as well as curriculum development in the social studies. The course emphasizes methods of teaching citizenship, and trends in teaching methods of social and multicultural education. Graduate students are expected to observe and make a commentary about a particular social studies class, and a documentation of their application of the methods teaching social studies.
