This course discusses the rationale, the principles, and procedures in preparing scholarly research designs for educational managers and administrators. Comparative analyses of the strengths and weaknesses as well as the applicability of varied research designs and methods are taken up. It also includes in-depth discussion of the threats to internal and external validity and corresponding measures to control such threats. Ethical principles in research are clarified. Choosing/constructing valid instrument/tools for data collection and the analysis and interpretation of data are likewise stressed.
