MPE 207 Special Activities for the Physically Challenged (w/ Practicum) 3:00-6:00pm

This course deals mainly with studying recreation, therapy, and rehabilitation for people with disabilities. Scientific and theoretical approaches for proper care will be handled, too. It also deals with the techniques and strategies for conducting activities intended for the normal and for the special group. It covers some considerations and characteristics of modifying such activities for specific conditions.

However, this course is essential not only for physical education but for everybody who has an interest in the study of people who have disabilities. To better understand and apply recommended activities, causes, and development of such disorders, a discussion of the different kinds of handicaps, recreation, sports activities, training, and workshops will be undertaken.
