Counseling Theories and Techniques
This course is focused on the study and critical analysis of the major counseling theories, tools and techniques as they apply to the counseling process. Students will be exposed to the historical and psychological foundations of major counseling theories. They will be trained in observing the skills and techniques employed by practitioners using those theoretical perspectives. There will also be opportunities, through assignments, role plays and interactive class discussions, for students to analyze themselves and others through the various lenses of psychological theories.
