ADVANCED TOPICS IN BIOLOGY is a course that covers the most recent biology-related issues and concerns at the time that the subject is enrolled. The students are expected to discuss concepts and principles behind selected topics, biotechnological applications benefitting humankind, as well as ethical issues. The students are also required to organize a seminar/webinar/conference for selected topics and be resource speakers in either self-organized or invitational seminar/webinar/conferences. The major outputs of this course include oral and written reports, comprehensive term paper for a particular issue, and narrative reports of seminars/webinars organized or participated as resource speakers.
