Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is an emerging trend in the classrooms today and that it is now imperative for every teacher to be acquainted with and skilled in the use of ICT in his/her classroom. This course is designed to engage the student in the critical application of a systematic and balanced approach to teaching mathematics using ICT appropriate to the needs of 21st century learners. It offers the student wide range of experiences on the nature of ICT in mathematics education and on the use of ICT-based materials in preparing, implementing and assessing mathematics lessons, together with communication tools to broaden learning and professional networks.
