Plant Morphogenesis Bio 335 Code: 1009 (Tabaquero, Arlene L.)

This course is an output-based and research-oriented course for PhD students. It focuses on the origin and development of the physical form and external structures of plants. It deals with the topics on mechanisms of differentiation leading to the formation and patterning of plant organs, the developmental stages of plant life cycle, and, the underlying processes involved in plant development in response to the changing environmental conditions.  Reading and discussions on recent research papers published regarding the mentioned topics are the main activities of the course. The major outputs include a special research project and a lecture webinar on specific topics to be delivered to students specializing in Biology and/or to science teachers.
