The practicum requires graduate students to be exposed to a real civil engineering works to enhance his knowledge, skills, and competencies as Professional Civil Engineer. It also aims to develop his leadership responsibilities in a technologically oriented, diverse, dynamic and competitive construction environment. Towards the end of the program, the student is expected to present his learning experiences through oral presentation among his professors to validate knowledge and competencies gained.

The Practicum, On-the-Job Training (OJT), or internship Program is the culmination of this pre-service training. It serves as the transitional phase between the student’s role as a full-time student and his future role as a full-time professional government worker. It is a three-unit course designed to provide the student-trainee or intern the opportunities to observe, participate, and apply in actual situations the theories, principles and strategies learned in school. It provides practical experience in government offices under the supervision of a faculty member of the college.
