This course focuses on a deeper understanding of the Christian mission by going into its roots, its nature and implications, and how it has to dialogue with the present missionary situation. Mission is rooted in the love of God for humanity which had its most sublime expression in the life and ministry of Jesus. Christian Faith Education (CFE) begins with this course. CFE 101 discusses the stories of the continuing journey of God with His people. The Biblical stories will serve as inspiration and guide in recognizing the unlimited and unconditional love of God to humanity and the world. Our journey with God started in His encounter with the people in the Old Testament led by Abraham and the prophets. God’s journey continued in the New Testament through His final and definitive revelation to bring the message of salvation – Jesus Christ. The journey continues today in our Christian communities through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The encounter of the early Christians (led by Jesus’ disciples) with God inspires and reminds us of the faithfulness of God to people, then and now, and in the days to come, as He said, “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt 28: 20).

The entire CFE curriculum helps and directs every student to participate in the evangelizing mission of the Church as they were always animated by the spirit of communion concretized in their daily motions of kindness, compassion and love. The CFE 101, then, allows every first-year college students to learn and appreciate the initiative of God in intervening in human history just to bring back people to the right path and to guide them not to commit the same mistakes being done by our fore-fathers. The course will discuss the different stories of God is his continuing journey with His people through engaging in Sacred Scriptures analyzation and discussion. The Biblical stories will also serve as inspiration and guide in recognizing God’s unlimited and unconditional love to all humanities. God’s first journey to people begins in the history of humanity in the Old Testament through the leadership of our father Abraham and the Prophets, until to the New Testament where the message of salvation is fulfilled through His begotten Son Jesus Christ. Our journey with God then continuous at all times and always reminding us that He is with us until the end of the days.
