This course focuses on the study and critical analysis of the major counseling theories, tools, and techniques as they apply to the counseling process. Students will be exposed to historical and psychological foundations. They will be trained in observing the skills and techniques employed by practitioners using those theoretical perspectives. There will be opportunities, through assignments, role plays, and interactive class discussions, for students to analyze themselves and others through the various lenses of counseling and psychotherapy.

This course covers a systematic analysis of group behavior and various types of group interaction. The course uses an experiential approach to learning how to facilitate groups by applying various theories and techniques of group process. At the end of the course, students are expected to enhance their skills in designing and facilitating group programs/activities for human growth and development.

This course deals mainly on the study of recreation, therapy and rehabilitation for people with disabilities. Scientific and theoretical approach for proper care will be dealt too. It also deals on the techniques and strategies on how to conduct activities intended for the normal and for the special group. It covers some considerations and characteristics on how to modify such activities for specific conditions.
However, this course is important not only for physical education but for everybody who has an interest in the study of people who have disabilities. For better understanding and application of recommended activities, causes, development of such disorders, discussion of the different kinds of handicapped, recreation, sports activities, trainings and workshops are to be undertaken.

This course reviews the theories, concepts, and principles of educating early childhood learners considering the curriculum, instruction, and assessment areas. It covers primarily how teachers should design developmentally appropriate lessons for early childhood learners, with the production and utilization of instructional materials in different forms. This course also gives importance to the collaborative efforts of early childhood educators in using other instructional systems to further critical and creative thinking in producing instructional materials.

This course deals with the techniques and strategies in teaching Physical Education with emphasis in Dance Teaching and Learning styles. A review of the dance program and analysis of basic dance steps and dance terms are needed in the interpretation of the dance instruction for a better understanding of the course.
