This course deals with the three major roles of a beginning professional nurse as a care provider, leader and manager and researcher in the context of the Philippine professional nursing practice standards. The learners are expected to demonstrate safe, appropriate and holistic care utilizing the nursing process in any health care setting.

MSN Practicum provides the health professional opportunities in the analysis & evaluation of the operational aspects of health organizations & systems in relation to the needs of patient/client/employee populations. Leadership, management & organizational theories are applied in evaluating structure & processes health leaders/administrators use to achieve expected organizational & systems outcomes. Emphasis is placed in the development & application of skills used in assessing the needs of population groups, & analysis of major policies, organizational situations, & strategic planning aspects of the nurse professional.
