This course provides introductory knowledge of Numerical Methods and Optimization techniques. The topics include numerical methods of solving nonlinear equations and systems of linear equations, interpolation, numerical differentiation, numerical integration, numerical solution of differential equations and eigenvalues and eigenvectors.

Financial management principles, the health care reimbursement system, reimbursement processes, and factors influencing the financial environment are discussed with emphasis on strategies to promote and sustain the financial viability of the health care.
