This course is designed to study the basic principles of office management including the areas of recruiting and orienting the office staff, supervising and promoting office personnel, problem solving and communication processes to include coverage of telephone techniques, ergonomics and office productivity. In addition to classroom activities, this course includes three hundred (300) hours of assisting in an office setting.

This course explores the cultural and historical contexts, literary genres, composition, and canonization of the Old Testament. It also presents salvation history in ancient Israel from its earliest beginnings, the period of the patriarchs, the historical books, the books of the prophets and their messages, and the books of wisdom. This course also explores on the geographical and historical contexts in which the Jewish scriptures arose, their social settings, political biases, and theological message.

This course aims to present the literary, historical, social, and political background of the Psalms and books of writings as well as their literary forms, main themes, structure, theology, and relevance to modern times. It also looks into literary and theological study of the Wisdom Literature in the Old Testament (Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes) with emphasis on the place of Wisdom in Old Testament theology, reading and interpretive strategies, wisdom genres, and theological message of each book.

RATIONALE OF THE OJT PROGRAM
In view of providing the students with the necessary experiences and skills needed for the practice of their profession, the OJT Program has been incorporated in the Engineering and Architecture curricula. The program aims to give the students the opportunity to put into practice the theories and principles they have learned in school within the guidance of the faculty advisor. It aims to provide the students with sufficient exposure to the realities of the work environment for which they are being prepared. This will give them a chance to assess themselves as to their readiness to assume the responsibilities for which they are being trained.

This course deals with designing, managing, and controlling business processes, including the acquisition and utilization of resources and the distribution of its goods/services. Topics include a review of the activities and responsibilities of operations management, the tools and techniques available to support operations, and the factors considered in the system's design. The course will discuss common business applications in capacity planning, production scheduling, plant layout and location decisions, inventory management, work measurement, quality management, supply chain management, and techniques for solving commonly occurring problems in manufacturing systems and service industries. The course will also introduce total quality management, its philosophy, methodology, and system of tools aimed at creating and maintaining a mechanism of the organization’s continuous improvement. Operations management involves all departments and employees in efforts to improve processes and products. |
