This course involves a study of consumer behavior as a tool for marketing decisions. It describes the rationale for studying, the consumer behavior outcomes, and the consumer behavior process: the psychological core, the process of making decisions, and the post-decisions evaluation. Consumer culture, consumer behavior outcomes and issues concerning consumer welfare are also discussed.

The course is divided into two parts. Part I deals with a study of today’s environment of business management, the process of developing competitive advantage and the relationship of information technology and decision-making functions of every managers. Focus is also given to the fundamental functions of management such as planning, organizing, directing/motivating and controlling.
Part II of the course is the empirical and realistic portion. More specifically, the discussion covers an in-depth examination of the more specialized concerns of management as applied to business, both in the public and private sectors. Students are expected to critically evaluate how the manager is considered as a leader, a motivator, a decision- maker, a communicator, etc. It will also show how the different theories and concepts are being practiced or observed in realities. The students are expected to develop some outputs of their critical management researches and investigations which will include some of the latest developments in the field of management like open systems theory, contingency and situational management and leadership, total quality management (several quality management programs), the Learning Organization and Technologically driven workplace, including e-business and commerce.
