This is an introductory course in ordinary differential equations (ODEs).  It focuses primarily on techniques for finding explicit solutions to linear ordinary differential equations. Topics include first order ordinary differential equations, linear differential equations, linear equations with constant coefficients, non-homogeneous equations, undetermined coefficients and variation of parameters, linear systems of equations; the existence and uniqueness of solutions.

This course deals with the application of concepts, principles, theories, techniques and strategies in disaster risk- reduction and management to groups of clients in any setting. The learners are expected to demonstrate safe, appropriate and holistic care to clients utilizing the nursing process in reducing the risk of disaster to help save lives and build resilience.

This course introduces discourse analysis as a field of linguistics and the different approaches used in the analysis of discourse. The course covers the general overview of the phenomena included in the study of discourse, its historical development, principles, approaches, and methods in analyzing written and spoken discourse. The students are expected to write an original paper analyzing a spoken or written discourse and applying appropriate methods of discourse analysis. Likewise, they should develop a critical awareness and appreciation of both theoretical and practical issues relevant to the field of Discourse Analysis.
